Ozon Festive Gifts — cover
Overview

A series of media gift kits for Ozon Global. Each kit — box, bag and greeting card — had to feel festive and local, while still looking unmistakably like a clean, international brand.

New Year set the system. Dragon Boat and Mid-Autumn proved it could stretch — three festivals, three palettes, one family.

The challengeFestive enough to feel like the holiday. Clean enough to stay on-brand.

Seasonal design tends to drift into decoration. These kits also had to perform on camera — they were sent to media partners and unboxed on screen.

Approach

How it came together

01

Rules

A shared layout grid, logo placement and the Ozon mascot as constants — so every festival starts from the same system.

02

Festival layer

Each holiday brings its own palette and motifs: a galloping horse for New Year, deep green with gold dragon-boat linework for Dragon Boat, a warm full moon and osmanthus for Mid-Autumn.

03

Unboxing

Designed for hands and lenses: the reveal sequence, card placement and how everything reads inside a phone camera frame.

The work

Full project

New Year Media Gift Kit · Packaging Design · Visual System Extension

❋ NEW YEAR GIFT BOX

❋ MATCHING GIFT BAG

❋ GREETING CARD

Key Focus

❋ Seasonal expression aligned with an international brand identity

❋ Clear visual hierarchy across packaging and printed materials

❋ Cohesive layout system adaptable to multiple formats

Designed for media distribution and seasonal brand communication.

Dragon Boat Festival 端午

Deep green and hand-drawn gold linework — dragon boats, layered mountains and bamboo leaves — with the Ozon mascot holding a festival scroll.

Mid-Autumn Festival 中秋

Ozon blue with a warm, full-moon yellow. A mooncake box holds six individually illustrated cake boxes, finished with a matching bag and card.

Key decisions

Why it looks the way it does

  1. 01

    System first, decoration second

Layout, logo and mascot stay fixed; only colour and festive motifs change.

  2. 02

    Design for the camera

Every surface was checked in a vertical video frame, not just on the desk.

  3. 03

    Every piece tells the story

Box, bag and card each work on their own — nobody sees all three at once.

Outcome

What shipped

  • Three festive kits: New Year · Dragon Boat · Mid-Autumn
  • Gift box, gift bag and greeting card for each — plus a mooncake box with individual cake boxes for Mid-Autumn
  • Designed for media distribution and seasonal brand communication
Reflection

What I learned

A good seasonal system is mostly invisible. The rules do the work, so each festival can be generous with detail.
